This portal leads you to my paintings and drawings, books, magazine and newspaper articles, biography and my crazy life in Byron Bay. It necessarily contains many more galleries of my photography.
BOOKS shows you a bit about the books I am writing at present, and will later include extracts from the text and samples of images.
ART AND POETRY takes you through a many-roomed gallery of:
- environmental posters created with my photographs in Photoshop, and spiced with my experience as an environmental educator and activist
- commissioned posters for friend's businesses
- poetry, eventually to be illustrated
- drawings with pencil and crayon
- paintings in various media
ARTICLES contains published and unpublished syntheses of my understanding of biology, natural history, cultural anthropology, spirituality, sexuality, human development, and current thinking about global issues.
BIOGRAPHICAL contains several main branches of my curriculum vitae: the Scientific, the Artistic, Literary and Photographic, and the Environmental careers. Eventually I will include an illustrated family history which will be of interest not only to those of my own lineage, but of those with parallel origins in Germany, Prussia, the Celtic Lands and England. There is no branch of the curriculum vitae entitled: "Life as a struggling artist metamorphosing in Byron Bay"; this website is its testimony.
BYRON LIFE
My life in Byron Bay is spun from the magic of NATURE and of MY TRIBE, Homo novointuitus, who have speciated from various subspecies of Homo sapiens known as lawyers, doctors, policewomen, marine geophysicists, builders, corporate trainers, psychologists and well-oiled entrepreneurs, into new forms reticently classified as artists, actors, musicians, spiritual healers, writers, and sculptors, to name a few. Getting The Tribe together for any project is like "herding cats", unless it be dressing up in archetypal costume and dancing and playing music all night at PARTIES surrounded by our own artworks, or dedicating ourselves and sometimes our freedom and reputations in PROTESTS and CEREMONIES offering world peace, environmental rescue and human divinity, or performing and jamming in the STREETS and MARKETS. However the manifesting capability of this new species produces superlative, authentic SHOWS and FESTIVALS, many of which I have had the privilege of participating in and capturing photographically. You will find them depicted in EVENTS. There is also a growing gallery of TALENT, profiling my friends and associates, what they do and think, and links to their websites.
