WRITINGS ON LOVE, SEX, LIFE AND SPIRITUALITY

PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL

Whether you look at it esoterically, scientifically, or with just plain observational common sense, the Physical is compressed, organized energy: Light. The solider the matter, in other words the denser the Physical, the more Light there is contained within it. In the Divine Paradox, the Physical and the Spiritual are both Divine and both the Ultimate. They are the head and tail of the serpent of eternity, they are continuous and they are one.

God created the Physical to express the Spiritual, to know its divine opposite, which is itself. No Light is possible without the Physical; the Physical creates and is created by it. The Physical generates Light (the stars transmit it) and it is caught, reflected, absorbed and known by the Physical, by matter, planets, people, and they are changed by it, and in turn change it. The Void is empty of Light; only where there is the Physical can Light have meaning and expression.

So to speak of "transcending the Physical" is a load of new-age spiritual-cliche codswallop. Completely unbalanced, and not the goal at all. The Plan is the reconciliation of the Physical and the Spiritual by their divine union, by the understanding that together they are One, they are the All. And therein lies the heart of the union of Man and Woman. It is true that if their union is based solely on the Physical it is unbalanced and incomplete, and there must clearly be a spiritual aspect to their union if it is to be worthy of their divinity. In that sense, to be non-physical for a while (ie. to "transcend the physical") and to find that the love is still there, proves that the union is not merely based upon the Physical, but is much greater. And having made that wonderful discovery, the way is open to fulfill the totality of the union, by re-uniting in the Physical, bringing together the two halves of the Divine.

FEAR AND LOVE

You often hear the expression: "Where fear is, love is not".
Firstly, in our lives it is often the case that fear arises where the love is greatest: we fear to open and be vulnerable, to risk losing and being hurt, to risk exposure of our innermost being, to risk facing our wounds, to sabotage our own healing and happiness because of deep-seated, possibly unconscious feelings of unworthiness. Fear comes to show you that Love is very close. It comes as a sign that deep healing is attainable on the path into love. At this point most people, especially men, run for it.

Secondly, the statement "where fear is, love is not" does not stand alone. It actually begins: "Your love ends when your fear begins", in other words if you allow the fear to master you, you run away from love and do not find it, you destroy it. THEN of course, where the fear is, the love is not.

To move away from love because of fear is to deny an essential process of growth and healing. Fear is not there to stop you or drive you away from love. It is there to make you aware of how much you can gain and advance when you face the fear and pass through it into love. It is an initiation in the darkness of your own being. If you go into it with total intent, the fire will come that ends the fear and darkness and brings the Light of Love, Wisdom and Power.
