THE DRAGON
It was early in the year of the Dragon. I arrived at the Rainbow Gathering at Bunoo Bunoo, New South Wales, with a backpack with some food, clothes, my flute and a towell. My boyfriend had most inconveniently disappeared with my sleeping bag and I had nowhere warm to bed down. However being the Rainbow, no-one goes without their basic needs being met. I came across a beautiful Moroccon tent, a canvas palace complete with golden dome on the roof, and knew that Avid, master of luxury, had set up house before my arrival. He offered me a velvet and brocade corner of his fantastic pad, and there I slept for nearly two weeks. For the further adornment of his palace, I created the silver and purple dragon, with fluoro and metallic biros, and it poised rampant on the central pole for the rest of the Rainbow. Thank you for your hospitality, darling Avid! April 2000 R611-23
